The Long-Sleeved T-Shirt
Did you wale up with a stiff and painful neck? Chances are that it will probably last a week or more. Here’s an idea that Registered Massage Therapist Tilman von der Linde recommends to patients who suffer from whiplash injuries.
Take a long-sleeved T-shirt and lay it out with the arms extended. Roll up the body of the shirt starting from the top. Take the rolled up portion and place it on the front of your neck. Wrap the arms around the back of your neck and tie them off in the front. Wear this neck wrap to bed and sleep with it on. It will give a bit of support by filling in the contour on the side of your neck in addition to protecting it from the cool night air. The wrap will also assist your neck by allowing your body’s core temperature to naturally heat up the muscles.
Remove the wrap in the morning and you will find that your neck will feel nice and warm and not nearly as stiff. Repeat this for a couple of nights and the duration of your neck stiffness will be cut in half.
YOUR BODY – YOUR PAIN – YOUR CHOICE
