What can I do to help my doctor?
A model patient is self-aware, clear and honest. You will do yourself and your doctor a favour by thinking, prior to visiting the doctor's office, about your injury and how it affects you. Be prepared for your doctor to ask you what hurts, how it hurts, how often it hurts and how it has changed your everyday life. The more information the doctor is given, the more likely you will get appropriate and helpful advice and treatment. Make sure the information you provide to your doctor is written into your records. |
